Digital money stops where the network stops. Cash never did.

Every digital dollar in circulation today assumes a live connection and a smartphone in the hand of the person paying. That leaves out the counter with one bar of service, the person who does not carry a phone or hold a bank account, and every stretch of hours when the network is simply down. Those are not edge cases. They are most of the world, most of the time.

01

No signal required

A tap at the counter completes on its own. No connection at the moment of payment.

02

No app to learn

It is a card. It works the way a card works. Nobody has to understand cryptocurrency.

03

Built to be supervised

Designed for regulated deployment, with a complete and auditable record, not anonymity.

Card to card. Nothing in between.

Two cards settle a payment between themselves. No terminal, no merchant account, no network, no third party standing in the middle taking a cut and a record. The way handing someone cash has always worked.

Two UNI Cards held facing each other mid payment, one reading $33.25 and the other $501.50.

2.7 millimetres.

A display, a secure element, a fingerprint sensor, an antenna and a battery, in something that goes in a wallet.

Accumulation sets a price. Circulation makes a currency.

Most of the infrastructure built for digital dollars so far serves holding, custody, and moving value between wallets. Very little of it serves the ordinary moment when somebody stands at a counter and pays. That is the end of the chain we are building for.

What is coming

A payment rail that does not go down.

UNI Card is in development. More will be shown when there is more to show.
